Want to contribute to a vibrant, cosmopolitan media outlet devoted to migrant voices and experiences? CultureStrike Magazine is inviting contributors who can speak to the experience of migration, diaspora and immigration politics, broadly defined. We provide compensation for original contributions.
We are welcoming submissions of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, interviews, visual art and other creative media for the revamped edition. We seek work that broadly deals with themes of migration as it relates to social movements, globalization, questions of contemporary cultural evolution, and the environment and climate justice.
1) Send a one-paragraph pitch explaining your work, including a basic explanation of the topic and your perspective, the medium, estimated completion timetable, length/size if applicable, and why you think it's right for the CultureStrike Magazine.
2) Nonfiction or reported pieces (including interviews) should include some relevance to migration in the contemporary political context or some relation to current cultural or social issues.
3) Prose submissions should be no longer than 3000 words, poetry should be 1 to 5 poems.
Please send all pitches and additional questions directly to michelle[at]culturestrike[dot]org with "SUBMISSION" in the subject line.
