Time lapse of our event "Visions From The Inside: Connecting To Our Community" that took place on October 26, 2015 in downtown Oakland.

We joined forces with Mujeres Unidas y Activas (MUA) and Betti Ono Gallery to install a temporary wheat-paste mural using images from the ‪#VisionsFromTheInside project. The art pieces, inspired by letters penned by mothers detained at Karnes Detention Center in Texas, were developed by 15 artists across the country.

CultureStrike would like to take this opportunity to stand in solidarity with the men and women who are participating in hunger strikes across the country. We fully support the actions of the hungers strikers of ‪#Hutto27, ‪#ElPaso54, ‪#LaSalle14 and ‪#AdelantoHungerStrike. ICE has began to retaliate against #Hutto27 strikers.

Make a call to support the those participating in these hunger strikes and urge ICE to stop their retaliation: bit.ly/hutto27.
